Ryan and Seth make their way towards the Quad. In front of them--two gorgeious airheads hug, squeal, reuniting.

SETH: The master race has been perfected, Ryan. And they all attend our school.

A hearty squad of water polo players march towards them. Seth braces himself as they rush past. Only one manages to drive a should into him while passing. Not bad.

RYAN: This is a nightmare.

EXT. THE HARBOR SCHOOL--PORTICOS--MORNING

Marissa and Summer navigate their way through the throng.

MARISSA: This is a nightmare.

SUMMER: I bet, like no one even knows.

MARISSA: Are you kidding?

They pass a group of girls. All of them follow Marissa with t heir eyes. Whispering.

GIRL 1: I heard she died down there.

They snicker. Summer stares daggers at them.

The girls skitter off.
