Pilot: i think this pilot was well done considering all the settings and aspects of being in the orange county area. The show portrayed the OC life realisticly (unlike in 90210's pilot. whoever heard of valet parking in school!?!) and fashionably. The original message is still heard among the show span but it's mixed up w/ all these other subplots which doesn't confuse the viewers, but gets them more interested. The cinemetography was great, each shot had the perfect timing, catching every character's emotions and reactions, whether it is facination, hurt, worry, and fun.

Benjamin Mckenzie: A terrific acting debut in a pilot. Greatly portrays his character by emphasizing his "on the other side of the tracks" theme. I anticipate seeing him develope his character and acting in the future.

Mischa Barton: i give her props for doing a great job. She can do the "I'm a cool popular chick who is so hot and can do whatever I want in life" girl and then she could be so insecure about her life. It ranges form family problems, her social life, if she picked the right guy, or if she will ever leave the Oc and see the real world. Her facination w/ Ryan Atwood is so obvious, but I definatley like the way she's playing her cards. Liek the way iI do It: flirt liek mad and always leave a little mystery.

Adam Brody: I actually have never seen him play the loser in a show before! in Smallvillehe was a telekinetic artist.Im Gilmore Girls, he was a rocker guy who liked rory's friend. Now, he's known as a rich reject? It was kind of a shock to me beacuse it personally think that he's too cute to play a wierdo. But for Peter's preformance I give it from a scale to 1 to 10....a 6-7. He was good, but I just didn't feel the character because I know almost nothing about his character. I hope that he will not become another Pete Ross. But i do like the way his character showed viewers that he obviously is missing things in his life. Like most characters in this show, they all want one thing.I am looking forward to see what happens to him beyond a few episodes.

Overall: I loved the pilot. Like I said earlier, all of these characters want other things in thier lives. Sometimes it could be so little, but it means something to them and seeing Ryan Atwood and where he comes from, these people not only reflect, but start to think of how they are luckier than most people. But I am totally anticipating every episode of this show and I will tell my friends about it!
