He is the nephew of Pulitzer Prize- winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, who co-authored the screenplay for "The Quiet American". This is one of Benjamin's very first professional acting roles but he has had numerous roles in plays during his school years including the role of "Teddy" in 'Homecoming', "Bennie" in 'Getting Out' and also a part in 'Life is a Dream' 2003 Virtual Rain.
