Kristin at E!

From mike: Is Tate Donovan really staying on The O.C.? I keep reading he isn't.
For those who haven't heard, the rumor mill has been working overtime with reports that Jimmy Cooper (Tate Donovan) is leaving Newport. And my buddies at Zap2It.com went to zee oh see man himself, Josh Schwartz. He simply said, "If you look at the track record, anyone who's fallen for Julie Cooper has not done well. I guess I'm talking about Luke (Chris Carmack), really. She's sorta the black widow of the show." Doesn't sound good, does it? Still, that said, my sources tell me Tate is still under contract and not going away, so we'll have to wait and see.

From bensell: Is Adam Brody the diva that he is rumored to be?
Sweetie, you are asking the wrong diva. A.B. can do no wrong by me.

From freddygirl: What about D.J. on The O.C., is he leaving?
That's what these tater ears are hearing, and his exit will leave Marissa free to lock lips with Alex (Olivia Wilde...whose birthname, by the way, is Olivia Cockburn, should you ever need to use that to slam-dunk someone in O.C. trivia). In other spoiler-ish news, Julie is going to get blackmailed by a man from her past--wanna take bets on what she did? I'm guessing she used to be a man! Julie is also about to jump into a new business venture with Kirsten: A magazine for Newport! Meanwhile, Kirsten fields flirtations from one of the magazine's advisers. Also, was kidding about the man thing. My guess is some kind of jail time ...as a man...with a wooden leg.

After two weeks of repeats, this week is a new episode. I don't want to say too much on what is happening, just in case there are spoiler-phobs here so, all I will say is that if you are a Modest Mouse fan, catch this episode. That's it, that's all. You will get nothing more outta me on this Thursday's episode. Bamboo shoots? I spit on you.

'O.C.' Star Buddies Up with Lindsay Lohan
Mon, Jan 03, 2005, 08:01 AM PT

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Samaire Armstrong, who played the lovelorn Anna in FOX's "The O.C.," is once again playing second fiddle on the big screen.

The 24-year-old actress will star as the best friend to Lindsay Lohan's character in an untitled comedy project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film centers on the luckiest girl in the world (Lohan), whose luck is exchanged for a loser's ("Princess Diaries 2's" Chris Pine). Armstrong will portray a struggling songwriter.

Director Donald Petrie ("How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days") will helm the Fox project.

Armstrong is also known for her role as Emily, the loyal assistant to the talent agent played by Jeremy Piven in HBO's comedy "Entourage," and for a small part in the spoof "Not Another Teen Movie."
