I arrive steps behind Mischa Barton and beau Brandon Davis, who hightail it inside the concrete-floored mansion and head straight over to catch up with hot 'n' heavy couple Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson. Between the million-dollar digs and beautiful people, it feels like I've stepped into a scene from The O.C., with Davis subbing for the absent Benjamin McKenzie. But enough gawking, I gotta check out the massive spread...Fergie of Black Eyed Peas fame mixes with Samaire Armstrong...Adam and Rachel, did you ditch lovely Mischa? "Where are they?" Mischa asks with growing frustration. "Did they leave already?" Brandon just contentedly trails behind his O.C. beauty, as she dashes around the party in search of her castmates. They don't turn up.
Juicy Couture definitely lures out fashionistas ranging from Samaire Armstrong to Janice Dickinson.

-I'm not joking: they're going to have an episode of Arrested Development where David Cross' character finally gets a part on the show. Rachel's gonna be saying her signature line, no doubt. It was in TV Guide, and will be an episode of Arrested Development, kinda like how they had a character on Roswell audition for an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise.
-Hey Fans, I try to keep up with all of The OC cast members... remember the angry trucker hat guy from the Vegas episode? I just read where he will be playing Samuel Jackson's right hand man in XXX2: State of the Union. COOL! Also, heard that he plays another poker player on the new show Dr. Vegas with Rob Lowe. Go Trucker Hat Guy!
-For anyone from the LA/OC area, Star 98.7's Lisa Fox is dating some guy named Bruno. Anyways, they were having a conversation on the radio about how her boyfriend landed a new role on The O.C. Does anyone know what this role will be?

The Benjamin McKenzie Birthday Project 2004 (or BP04) was started to celebrate Ben's birthday which falls on September 12. We decided that in lieu of sending Ben a birthday gift, the best alternative was to donate money to a charity in his name. This way, the less fortunate benefits, and Ben is honored on his special day as well.
The project (BP04 for short), will be going on for the next month. It is broken into two parts: a charity fundraiser, as well as a birthday book for Ben. For the fundraiser, products will be sold through the store at Cafepress. With each product you buy, the profit made from the store will be donated to the charity for this year's project. So it means that fans gain too - you get a nifty Ben product of your choice, while donating to charity! Alternatively, you can also send in a donation through Paypal. The organizers nominated the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the benefactor for this year's project. The Foundation is dedicated to granting the wishes of terminally ill children in order to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. For more information, please visit their website.

THE LADIES' MAN: Everyone who bet that Benjamin McKenzie would be The O.C.'s breakout star is gonna be out some dough today. Second banana Adam Brody has landed his first movie lead, opposite Meg Ryan (and, apparently, a bunch of other chicks) in In the Land of Women. The comedy, about a screenwriter who gets mixed up with his grandma's female neighbors, will be directed by Jonathan Kasdan, son of The Big Chill helmer Lawrence Kasdan.

Theme: A series of great dates all over Hollywood.
Where: The TV stars were photographed at a dog park, at Sunset Stables, outside the El Ray (an old movie theater now used as concert venue), and in pizza parlor Cheebo (above).
Long day's journey: It was an exhausting shoot for Adam, Alexis, and the crew. The call time was 9A.M., and they didn't wrap until 8P.M.
Full plate: Breakfast included omelets, donut holes, and Starbucks coffee. Lunch was a country-club-style buffet, with roast beef, lasagna, and lemon cake.
Tight squeeze: The clothes at the shoot were a bit big for Adam's taste, so he threw some of his own, more fitted pieces into the mix. Alexis's outfits were also a little loose, and had to be pinned to fit her tiny frame.
Love connection: Alexis's boyfriend Milo showed up while she was at Cheebos. The two hadn't seen each other in a while, since the actress had been filming in Greece, Vancouver, and Austin, and they were thrilled to be reunited. Adam's girl Rachel Bilson didn't visit the set, but they chatted over the phone.
The couples contingency included Lindsay Lohan with Wilmer Valderrama, Mischa Barton (news) with Brandon Davis, and Barton's The O.C. co-stars Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson. Brody, who was filming the new season's third episode at the same Teen People party house earlier in the day, says the whole O.C. cast spent two days last month vacationing at castmate Peter Gallagher (news)'s home in Connecticut.
"It was like camp," Brody said. "Tate (Donovan) led us on a jog. We played capture the flag; we swam; we barbecued. It was rad." ____________________
