Adam Brody Superlative: Class Clown On camera and in real life, Adam is the type of guy you fall for because he can't stop babbling about comic books and even shows up to your birthday party dressed like Aquaman. He's kinda cute, too.
Summer May Have a New Man on 'The O.C.' (Thursday, July 29 03:29 PM)
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Considering that her old boyfriend spent the summer floating on a boat towards Tahiti, it's little wonder that Rachel Bilson's Summer might be looking for love in new places.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Cassidy, a relative newcomer, will take a recurring role on FOX's "The O.C.," playing what's only described as "a love interest for Summer Roberts." Cassidy is completing the indie "Truth or Dare."

THE O.C. (FOX) - Newcomer Michael Cassidy is the latest addition to the show's recurring cast, where he'll play a potential new love interest for Rachel Bilson's character. No other details on Cassidy's character or when his first episode will air were revealed. (thefutoncritic.com)
(don't even bother checking on IMDB.com for a pic and profile. There are 5 different guys by that name, they are all too old, are crew guys, no photos and the first word is "newcomer". I'll keep ya posted as soon as I find anything.)

Michael Cassidy will be playing Zach, Summer's love interest that Mr. Roberts actually likes and enjoy listening to his quips, including things about comics. He should be be premiering on episode #3.

In Cosmopolitan magazine has a small Hot/Cold list and for favorite TV parent, Sandy Cohen was tops! I think it's the bushy brows that put him over the edge of all the others.

(corny intro...wait for it...ready...)
Welcome to the dvd, bitch!
When Ryan Atwood, a tough, guarded, fiercely intelligent 16-year-old plunges headlong into the wealthy, privileged community of Newport Beach, he soon discovers that the ruling families of Orange County are every bit as territorial as the tough crowd with which he ran on the streets of Chino. For Sandy Cohen, the idealistic public defender who takes Ryan in; his wife Kirsten, the linchpin of O.C. society; their awkward adolescent son, Seth; and the beautiful troubled girl next door, Marissa Copper - Ryan's presence will forever change their lives.
Warner Bros Home Video has announced that they are bringing Fox's #1 new series to DVD on October 26th, which is when we expected to see the set released. The set is timed to be released just before the second season premiere on November 4th.All 27 episodes will be released on this 7 disc set (1188 mins), with a ton of extras. Look for the set to contain:
Additional Scenes With introductions by creator Josh Schwartz. Audio Commentary on the pilot episode by Creator Josh Schwartz and Producer Stephanie Savage. DVD ROM Features Easter Eggs : On three episodes. Three Featurettes - Casting the OC, The Music of the OC and The Real OC featuring behind-the-scenes footage and cast & crew interviews. The Music Of The O.C. - an screen music guide for six episodes.
All this for the suggested price of $69.98 US.
We can expect the DVD to contain a 1.33:1 image, along with an English stereo audio track and English, French and Spanish subtitles. Please Note: I called the production office and asked about the aspect ratio and was told that season 1 should be full frame, while season 2 will be finished for widescreen. It sounds like 1.33:1 is the proper aspect ratio for the first season, and is how the DVDs should be released.
The O.C. premiered in August, 2003, and after a 7-week test it recorded very high numbers for Fox, making the fall pickup no surprise. (tvshowsondvd.com)

We all know that Adam and Rachel wants us to get out and vote...but what is Ben doin'?
FoxNews.com Also seen in and around the Fleet Center yesterday: actor Rob Reiner with Billy Crystal. And let's not forget "O.C." star Benjamin McKenzie, as well as Jerry Springer.
Ben...Welcome to my hometown, bitch.
Typically most of the people that watch The O.C. are not big C-SPANers but I hope you caught Ben on Tuesday, July 27th. He made an appearance at the Democratic National Convention and spoke briefly at the opening of the evening session about the importance of young people voting. He tried to speak in non-partisan but because he made a little jab at Dubya, we can get who he's voting for. Ben noted that he is from Texas and didn't know much about foreign affairs, domestic issues or balancing the budget. But you'd be surprised, he said, how far those qualifications will get you today! Golf clap!
From yash1272: Did you see Anna from The O.C. on Entourage last night? Is this a permanent stint for her? Sounds like it might be. I asked Josh Schwartz (creator of The O.C.) if Samaire Armstrong (Anna) might be back, and he said "We'd like to have her, but I don't think it will happen. She's on Entourage now."
From lindsayw99: Is it true that on The O.C., Ryan gets a new girlfriend? Marissa definitely gets a new boyfriend--not sure about Ryan's significant-other status. When he comes back, he finds Marissa is a big ol' mess, not to mention romantically involved with someone else.
From wilde: Will Seth and Summer get back together in the fall? Or is it over? I can only tell you this: Adam Brody mentioned his character "had" a girlfriend, as in past-tense "had." I also spoke to Rachel Bilson, and she said, "I really can't say anything, but...I think no matter what couple it is, no matter what show, you know if they're just together the whole time it's not fun. You want to bring other people into the show to create dynamics and all that stuff, so you can't just have it one way. No show does, even Ross and Rachel. If you think about it, the 10 years of their show, they probably only really were together for two, but they still have their interaction, all their love interests and all that." ____________________

Oliver Comes to "The O.C.": We could exchange "pull an Oliver" for the phrase "jumping the shark." Example: "Ed" pulled an Oliver when he kept threatening to move to New York City in the final season of "Ed."
