Trend in Triplicate: Do you think stylists hold monthly meetings to decide what's going to be the next chic thing in Hollywood? Because otherwise we can't explain how three hot actresses ended up wearing almost identical (and ill-advised) ensembles, specifically dresses over jeans with pointy heels. On the left, Anne Hathaway goes hippie-dippie in a low-cut floral dress and frayed jeans, while "O.C." starlet Mischa Barton seems slouchy in an unflattering ruched and sequined frock and tailored jeans. Leggy Cameron Diaz (clowning around at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards), in ripped jeans and a white smock decorated with teeny-tiny pom-poms, is the only one who even remotely carries off this uniform, which we hope will soon get dumped into the same recycling bin as such tired trends as Uggs and shrugs. ~~~ Mischa in FHM's 100 sexiest women!
The U.S. edition of FHM is in stores now. Mischa Barton, along with 99 others, are a part of the 100 Sexiest Women in the World of 2004. Mischa is placed at #60. ____________________

Defy Magazine's Editor in Chief Peter Menocal was gracious enough to give The OC Central the news that he and his magazine reviewed The OC Mix vol. 1. But hold on, what's this? They will also be doing a feature in the upcoming weeks with the cast members. So, please, stay tuned. And, now, for your reading pleasure:
"The soundtrack is enough to make even the most anti-Abercrombie music geek giggle with delight."
Author: Peter Menocal
When you talk about the stratospheric hit Fox’s drama The O.C. has become, you can’t help but anticipate all the same faux pas that come chock full of their own 90210 comparisons. Deep and brooding heartthrob, rich conniving villainesses and comedic relief offset a stylish array of fashion and scenery in just about every show. But the visionaries at Fox not only decided to keep the show fresh with a stellar cast and cutting edge trends, but stepped it up a notch when they decided to provide a killer soundtrack to the show.
So Mr. Too-tough-for-The-O.C.-guy, think this show’s just for chicks? Think again. The soundtrack is enough to make even the most anti-Abercrombie music geek giggle with delight. With tracks from Spoon (“The Way We Get By”), Turin Brakes (“Rain City”), Finley Quaye and William Orbit (“Dice”), and The Doves (“Caught By The River”) our guess is that Fox single handedly made the percentage of the audience that they might have alienated pick up the remote and tune in, even if just for the tracks.
There’s not just indie fodder either. After all, it is The O.C. Dandy Warhols offer up their quirky rocker “We Used To Be Friends” while Jem gets groovy on “Just A Ride”. Jet pick up their acoustics on the classic rock tinged “Move On” just before The 88 make the So-Cal sunset with “How Good It Can Be”. And yes, Phantom Planet’s theme song “California” is included on this; volume one of what we’re sure will be a successful franchise of soundtracks. Cheers to Fox for their excellent picks. Hey, it got us to pay attention. ~~~ Also on Defy's website is a link to win a Panasonic D-Snap Camera from Rooney. So, please, click here! ____________________
Dear Ted: How is it possible that a mediocre talent and newbie like Mischa Barton can wear so many designer duds? Do they give them to her because she is pretty and tall? S. Zapp Allentown, Pennsylvania
Dear S.: No, because she's such a caring human being. (Tsk, tsk, is someone jealous?--Jen) ~~~ Fashion Police
Out on a Limb She's got legs, and Mischa Barton knows how to use them at the post-party for Tommy Hilfiger's new H sportswear line in New York. Wearing layered H T-shirts, a sexy white denim micromini and blue suede pumps, it's obvious why this new pretty woman made swift strides to stardom. But wait a minute! Doesn't that blue and white sequin thing look like a racer-back top worn backward? Mischa, hon, next time check for the tag. Actresses, sheesh. ____________________
Our favorite OC mommies have done a stint on CSI, in the same episode! On Friday April 30th at 11pm on Spike TV (ex-TNN), CSI will be doing it's syndicated rerun of the episde with our OC MILFs. Melinda (Julie) and Kelly (Kirsten) are in the episode titled Slaves of Las Vegas. Melinda played the main dominatrix, Lady Heather and Kelly played Eileen Nelson. (Keep a look out for the lab tech played by Stacey Dash – from Clueless)
Alan Dale is a busy man for FOX. He's proposing to Julie on "The O.C." and reappearing as the vice president on "24." As "24" continues to race towards the end of the season, this missing hotel guest is going to present quite a problem. Don't forget there's another death this week. ____________________
Don't forget, this Sunday is VH1's DIVAS where Mischa will make an appearance. ____________________

The O.C. You knew Luke wasn't going to die, right? He wasn't 90210's dorky Scott Scanlon or Dawson's Creek's witchy Abby. He just happened to tag Marissa's mom. Bad, yes, but not kill-worthy. Besides, having seen Melinda Clarke in this month's Stuff magazine defiling a leopard bikini, can ya really blame him? But Kiki's pop may want to rethink blackmailing Coop into supporting his marriage to Julie, now that the season is heading for a mother-daughter showdown finale. Which, by the way, could be as catty fun as...(The Bachalor)

Ben #6 in, In Touch Weekly's Ten Most Eligible Bachelors!
A year ago, most of us probably never heard Benjamin McKenzie and oh how times have changed... Now Ben is a teen heartthrob, who makes $15,000-$25,000 per episode! Not only that, but he's currently being labeled as one of the most eligible bachelors along with Ben Affleck, George Clooney, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, and more!
But is this shy hottie marriage material? According to In Touch Weekly, DEFINITELY!
My only question is... Where's Adam Brody? ~~~ Maxim's Hot 100!
It's that time again for Maxim's Hot 100 of 2004. Guess who made the list? That's right, both Mischa and Rachel! While Mischa made number 6, Rachel got the number 58 spot. Don't worry though, we love them both equally! ~~~ Pictures From Behind the Scenes of the Episode "The Strip"!
Not to "spoil" the episode, but in the episode airing on the 28th of April known as "The Strip", some of the characters take a trip to Las Vegas! And the nice people over at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino have an exclusive, behind the scenes of The O.C.! Click here to check out pics! ~~~ TheOCOnline.com
