The O.C. Whooaa. A sexual-content advisory. Cool. I'm not sure if that ran for Seth and Summer's multiple bedroom bungles or for the Mrs. Robinson twist with Luke and Julie. No matter, there was steam rising off the screen. Even Marissa tried to get her groove thang on, much to Ryan's chagrin. Gotta love a guy who turns down nookie from with the girl next door, only to cozy up with an old friend from the wrong side of the tracks. And I do mean old. Yes, Theresa is hot, but really, she's as close to being a high-schooler as Andrea Zuckerman ever was. Just don't let Luke see her, you know? ___________________
...So, sorry guys, but the only shot of the lass topless is from the back, in a snippet during the end credits. (Don't discount the allure of dorsal dishabille, however. Mischa Barton has made it into an art form on FOX's "The O.C.")... ___________________
TV Gal Plays Hollywood Agent (Thursday, February 19 08:02 AM) By Amy Amatangelo
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - It's pilot season in the world of TV. Since the weather in Los Angeles is pretty consistent, this is the only way they know it's spring. This is the time of year that networks everywhere order and cast television shows that could potentially be part of their Fall 2004 line-up. And there are some people who I truly think need a series to call their own. You know their faces. You see them everywhere. They are working double-time in Hollywood. Here are the familiar faces I think deserve their own show:
Paul Wasilewski: He's been Lex's brother on "Smallville," Ryan's trouble-making co-worker on "The O.C.," and Damien on "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter." But it's as Amy's troubled boyfriend on "Everwood," that he's really demonstrated the depths of what he's capable of. Now you know I think the WB acts like the old Hollywood studio systems and takes care of their own. Right about now they should be cooking up a series for Wasilewski.
Seth Cohen Quote of the Week "I was Nemo and I just wanted to go home."
Catch Adam Brody before he was Seth Cohen or Dave Rygalsky on "Smallville: Beginnings" (Sunday, WB, 7 p.m.). ____________________

Zap2It TV Best Bet for February 18 Valentine's Day has hit "The O.C." a couple of days late -- but romantic drama is still in the air. Marissa (Mischa Barton) tries to patch things up with Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie), but he still can't forgive her for past (read: Oliver) indiscretions. Things grow ever more complicated when Theresa (guest star Navi Rawat, late of "Angel") Ryan's Chino-based ex, shows up to cater a V-Day dance. In other news, Seth (Adam Brody) and Summer (Rachel Bilson) decide to take their friendship to a new level (oh yeah), and Jimmy (Tate Donovan) discovers a secret admirer. ____________________
• Episode 1.22 - The L.A.: It seems that the gang are on a trip in L.A. Ryan and Seth go to the Mermaid Inn to get a watch that was forgotten there. The manager says that she was a pretty lady the girl who stayed there... Ryan's girlfriend? Ryan salts in the wounds and says no. Later, Ryan, Marissa, and Seth go to a club. Hailey is there because she is working at the strip club. She inquires about what Seth and Ryan are doing in such a club. And Ryan says that if Kirsten knew what Hailey was doing for a living, she would surely take her back at the house. It seems that Hailey is also taking drugs. Ryan, Marissa, and Seth are thrown out of the club. Summer is also there with someone named Grady. Something doesn't go as planned, and Summer asks Seth to go back to Newport. Ryan and Marissa sneak back in the club to get Hailey. They get into trouble and the manager and bouncer are about to hit Ryan when... Jimmy saves the day! Will they hit a kid in front of paparazzis? He tells the kids to head back and he'll give Hailey a lift. Not waiting for the kids to even be gone far enough, Hailey and Jimmy hug. Luke wants to have a chat with Julie, who seems embarrassed he came to the Cohen's to talk to her. Caleb appears in the episode.
- Q & A - • Jenny asks "Are Marissa and Ryan going to get back together?" As of right now, only time will tell. Spoilers seems to point that they'll be friends rather than lovers but we never know, maybe down the road they'll hook together again.

(Un)related news: -The WB's Angel is clocking out after 5 seasons and marking it's 100th episode recently. Angel is (soon to be was) an hour-long drama airing at the same time The O.C. airs. Maybe the competition for the same demographic hurt Angel, no one is saying but I thought I'd make a notion that one of The O.C.'s "competitors" is out. Also, Navi Rawat (Theresa) guested on an episode. -Production has started on The Ring 2. Adam Brody appeared in the original, American version. -Catch Chris Carmack on video! You can rent "Bring It On Again" now. -"Freaks and Geeks" is coming to dvd April 6. Samaire Armstrong appeared in two episodes -"After the Sunset" starring Pierce Brosnon, Salma Hayek, Woody Harrelson (as an FBI agent no less, hehe) and Don Cheadle is in production. After a successful last score, a master thief (Brosnan) retires to an island paradise. His lifelong nemesis, a crafty FBI agent, washes ashore to ensure he's making good on his promise. The pair soon enters into a new game of cat-and-mouse. Alan Dale (Caleb) will play Jake Mitchell, the security chief. -Taylor Handley (Oliver) has started a new acting gig. "Dramarama"--A family hit with economic misfortune are forced to pull their daughter, a promising drama student, out of her prestigious high school, in favor of a less expensive public education. Determined to perform, with her sights set on Yale, she forms an acting group at her new school, and prepares to take on her old colleagues in an upcoming drama competition. He will co-star with Lindsay Lohan and Eric Lloyd. -"Lightning Bug" just completed filming. A drama thriller set in the south about a young boy who longs to escape the misery of his childhood and the misunderstanding of his hometown. A gifted self-taught special effects make-up artist, Green dreams of going to Hollywood to make his own monsters. But the real demons of Green's life threaten to hold him back; A drunken stepfather who terrorizes his mother, a group of religious fanatics who want to destroy his work, and the love of a girl who can't let go of small town life. Bret Harrison (Danny) & Laura Prepon co-star. ____________________

Q: I was wondering if The O.C. does actually film in Orange County (either full time or at select times)? If not, where does the show film? Thanks. — Burch, Irvine, Calif.
T: The show's soundstages are in Manhattan Beach, which is in Los Angeles County, Burch. However, I know they have shot exteriors in Huntington Beach, which is in Orange County. So, if you're a fan, you've seen some actual parts of the real O.C. ____________________
TV Gal LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Let's face it, every television season brings some great new actors and actresses to the small screen.
Now, I'm not talking about the faces that may be new to the average viewer. Savvy TV Gal readers were already familiar with perpetually cute Adam Brody (Seth on "The O.C."), the charming David Sutcliffe (Patrick on "I'm with Her"* Jen's note--he played Rory's dad on the same Gilmore Girls you used to find Adam), and the spunky Linda Cardellini (Sam on "ER"). We've long been loyal to Jason Bateman (Michael on "Arrested Development"). And any fan of soap operas already knew how talented Josh Duhamel (Danny on "Las Vegas") and Amber Tamblyn (Joan on "Joan of Arcadia") are. I'm talking about the people who seem to have hit the television schedule out of nowhere.
Here are my picks for the best new faces of the 2003-04 television season:
Rachel Bilson, Summer on "The O.C.": Bilson has managed to make almost all of us root for Summer. She's reminiscent of an early Cordelia Chase -- not afraid to always say exactly what's on her mind, but a caring friend underneath the snobby veneer. It's not an easy job playing the school's resident brat but Bilson has made Summer loveable while not losing any of her cutting edge.
Quotes of the Week "The boy who lives in the pool house is warning me about the boy who lives in the penthouse?" Julie to Ryan after he warns her about Oliver on "The O.C." Thanks to TV Gal reader Jeff for the quote.
Spoiler Even after they finally get together, Summer will continue to ignore Seth Cohen when they are at school on "The O.C." Jimmy will suspect that something is up between Luke and his soon-to-be ex-wife. Marissa and Ryan will try to be just friends. ____________________
