Shades of high school! No, not the New Year's Eve swingers party the Cohens attended (though any invites can be sent to me at TV Guide). What I'm trippin' about is this whole Seth-Summer-Anna triangle. In 1987, my geek-chic friend Nick was the bootie in a hottie bidding war between a brunette and a blonde. Oddly, just like the funniest dork in Orange County, he ended up with the blonde, too. Hmm. And let's see a show of hands. Who else thinks Kristen's sister looks a lot like Julie Cooper. Sort of takes their dad's affair with the bitch next door to a creepy new level, huh? Ryan, kudos on getting to Marissa by midnight. Keep an eye on this Oliver guy though. Found on IMDB.com The OC board: by Captain_Oats: The New Year's Eve episode was a hoot! The conversation between Ryan and Marissa about Russel Crowe was just hilarious, considering everyone's been talking about the physical similarities between Benjamin McKenzie and Russell Crowe. When Sandy discovered the threesome he replied almost the same way his son did in the first episode when he also ran into some action, funny stuff! It's too bad that not everyone got a happy ending. Jimmy was probably drinking his worries away and Summer just wanted Seth... Oh well, more drama next week.

This is a total breakdown of the episode. so if you dont want to know whats going to happen, dont read this:
Heres the breakdown of the the episode:
Ryan and Merrisa are infront of the house & talking about new years, ryan wants to stay in so he knows merrisa is safe, says some touching romantic crap & then merrisa tells him " i love you"
she realizes then what she said & stuff gets akward ryan says "thank you" & then she says "your welcome?"
she then leaves
ryan goes into the pool house saying " i love you, how hard is that to say".
then finds a hot chick in his white beater & she asks him who are u and he realizes its chirstens sister. then she sends him to sleep on the couch in the house.
then seth's parents find out that kirstens sister is back, they chat.
merrisa goes to the shrink, sees that guy again(from last ep) & he starts asking stuff again & invites her to a party.
then kirstens sister calls her boring & so kirsten tells sandy if after there "annual crap" if he wants to goto a party.
then merrisa and ryan get into it about the dude from the psych's office, who ill refer to the as "that guy". so they start talking about "that guy" and ryan questions merrisa a little.
then ryan says he doesnt wanna go & merrisa says shes going anyway and kisses him and leaves.
kirstens sister, gets rid of sandy and kirsten by sending them to a party, little do they know its a swingers party :P. and get this kirsten dares sandy to stay, she thinks theyre "in a rut".
then she trys talking ryan & seth into it & then all of these people come and shes having a party & theyre trashing the house. seth convices ryan to tell her to stop the party, so he goes to tell her but hears someone in the bedroom talking with her about "money she owes", and some person she sscrewed over, and how if u want "clean speed" and other drugs etc.. u know where to go when shes in town.
then kirstens sister tells ryan "lets talk", takes him and seth to the pool house & locks them in.
back at the swingers party, sandys hitting it up with all the lovely ladys and some lady starts talking with kirsten about how swinging saved her marriage & how sandy is having a shitload of funf or someone not in a rut.
then, kirstens sister wants to shut down the party so she asks for ryan and seths help, and they help her & then ryan goes to the party, or trys to and is stuck in traffic.
sandy & kirsten come to a crashed out house & kirsten yells @ her sister & sandy walks in on a 3-Some, in his bed.
then hannah splits from the party & goes to seth's house shes in the same traffic as ryan as shes coming back from teh party he was at, yet she makes it to seths place in a few minutes, funny huh? :P.
then ryan makes it & in slow mo action style, he makes it up the stairs to the party, right as the countdown his "3, 2, 1" while merrisa is staring the whole time at the door
also should be noted, summer is by herself @ the countdown.
seth and hannah are making out in his bed, kirsten & sandy are making out, ryan and merrisa are making out & midnight.
summer is mkaing out with the guy she was flirting with the night but then stops cause she still likes seth. then she splits &
ryan tells merrisa "i love you" , she smiles and says "thank you".

In tonight's episode of Fox's The O.C. (airing at 9 pm/ET, not that we really need to tell you that!), the Cohen clan suffers a shock. Does Ryan smile? Does Sandy pluck? Does Seth shut up? Nope. Kirsten's incorrigible kid sister swings into town. "Hailey is a rebellious wild child," her portrayer, Amanda Righetti, tells TV Guide Online. "She's a freeloader living off Dad's money." In other words, she's Paris Hilton! "Yeah, I guess you could sort of view her like that," the actress reluctantly agrees. "She kind of does her own thing [and makes a habit of] involving herself with people she shouldn't be involved with." Sounds like our kinda gal. So, although Righetti is only scheduled to appear on the hit soap through the end of next month, there's every chance that she'll be back again. She certainly deserves a break! A year ago, she headlined the Fox pilot No Place Like Home (from the creators of Party of Five) and thought her moment had arrived. "Unfortunately," she sighs, "it didn't get picked up." However, the network was so high on the newbie that it kept her on the payroll, signing her to a development deal. "That took me by surprise," she recalls. "I had no idea that they felt that way. [Now, finally], The O.C. will be my first thing that's broadcast." If she's half as charismatic as her bosses seem to think she is, it won't be her last. ____________________

From Ready Made magazine #8 There is a project section with info on skill, time, items needed, etc. In the beginning section discussing what the project card on the pages me, this caught my eye: "at the 5 minute mark, you'll spend less than an hour, at the 55 minute mark you're skipping The O.C. Even small, quarterly, eccentric magazines make mention of the OC phenom.
