The O.C.
Speaking of boozy drama, you gotta love Ryan on Marissa's holiday meltdown and near-arrest. "Drinking, crying, cops... it must be Christmas." The poor Chino urchin. He's making such strides in irony and suburban style. Notice the wife-beater is around less and less? However, this hour belongs, hands down (or where we can see them, please) to Summer in the Wonder Woman costume. As Seth would say, it was a Chrismukkah miracle. Oh, and writers, don't even think of putting Coop with the dork from her therapist's office. I don't have the time to help my two office managers deal with that.

CHOICE KUDOS: This is how it's done at the People's Choice Awards: Nominations for TV's annual popularity contest are out and Fox's The O.C. will face off against CBS's Cold Case and Joan of Arcadia for fave new drama. The finalists for fave new comedy, meanwhile, are Hope & Faith, Two and a Half Men and Whoopi. In the reality category, nods went to Fear Factor, Survivor and The Bachelor — but not American Idol. (I blame Paula.) The ceremony, airing Jan. 11 on CBS, will be hosted by Two And A Half Men co-stars Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer.
Online voting begins December 4! Check out CBS.com

Heather got exactly the same degrees as I did to connect Adam with Rachel. "Adam Brody was in the movie American Pie 2 which starred Alison Hannigan. Alison Hannigan is a star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer which Rachel Bilson guest stared!!"
Heather, Haley, Maria & Jules also got many other different ways to connect them. Great job girls!

Gilmore Guy
A&F Quarterly
www.gilmore-girls.net

The Rebel. The guy with the dark eyes and brooding good looks that every girl wants to be with. The guy that no mother wants her daughter to date, even if the mom harbors a little crush on him herself. Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jesse on the WB's hit Gilmore Girls is just that guy. A&F's Brian Cornelius gets the skinny on what Milo thinks of the mean streets of The O.C., playing it young, and how he's dying to get off the show that made him a star.

You grew up in Orange County. Do you think The O.C. is realistic?
No, no. You know what? I've seen the trailers, and some dude gets punched, and he's like, "That's how we do it in Newport." I'm like, "You dumb f**k, that never happened, ya knucklehead." You know? I'm like, "Ok, first off, if you said Huntington Beach, that might be a little more believable." And then the main kid that gets sent there is from Chino. Come on, man. I tell ya, I hope they get a lot of letters from Chino being like, "What are you saying about us?"

The guilty pleasure. The O.C. is Fox's deliciously junky return to teen-soap delirium, so self-aware of its buzz that it already has begun poking fun at itself.
