At TVGuide.com in the Watercooler section (by Damian Holbrook)

The O.C.
My show is back! Good lord, I missed the pretty teens and all the glossy drama you can fit into a tiny California hamlet. We knew Marissa would survive the OD. She's too hot to kill off. Maybe Summer, but she's the Donna Martin to Coop's Kelly Taylor. And if Ryan is Dylan and Seth is David, where's Steve? Better yet, where's Emily Valentine? Note to McG: Get Melinda Clarke a contract already. That nasty bitch makes Joan Crawford look like a UNICEF volunteer.

Check out E! for videos on The OC premiere party in NYC and Kristin's dish on upcoming episodes.

More from Kristin at E!: Kirsten's sister visits and ends up in the bedroom with Ryan. It turns out that Kirsten has a troubled little sister who comes back to town just in time for a New Year's Eve bash she throws at the Cohen house. Ryan does find her in the master bedroom, where he overhears her discussing major money troubles.

Also, In a desperate attempt to help her dad out of his financial woes, Marissa applies for a job answering phones--and talking dirty. LOL, indeed. We all know Marissa is desperate, just not for a job. The only "earning" this Newport princess does is with her five-finger discount at the mall. And, Marissa gets yet another (sorta) love interest, in the form of a boy named Oliver. Maybe they meet at rehab?

That's it from E! this week.

Check out the spoiler section to find out the rest of the storyline.

Rumours and Tidbits from E! Online

From crmcglone: What do you think about Fox moving The O.C. to Wednesday nights?

I think it's a fantabulous idea, though it pains me to have to choose between The O.C., The Bachelor and The West Wing. But, at least now, the show stands a fighting chance of sticking around. A little scoop: Just in time for Thanksgiving, we meet Luke's family and learn that his dad is gay. When the news gets out, Luke gets in a fight (of course!) at school and Ryan helps him. Later the (maybe) friends are assigned to do a school project together.

From newfigirl: What's the scoop on The O.C.?

When The O.C. returns on Wed., Oct. 29, Ryan skips his admissions test to help Seth and Summer help Marissa escape a mental institution. We also learn that not only does Marissa have a drinking problem, but she also got busted for shoplifting last year. And she had anorexia. And she used to be a man. Okay, kidding on the last one.

From toliver63: You said last week that Summer and Seth are in a triangle on The O.C.. Who is the third angle?

The third angle is Samaire Armstrong, whom you know as Seth's date to the cotillion.

From jennsastar: Do you have any O.C. scoop?

When the show returns Oct. 29, look for Marissa to leave her mom (once she's released from the hospital and mental ward, that is) and move in with her dad (who's been kicked out of the community). Jim also gets a little comfort from Kirsten, naturally.

From dawsonscreekfan0: Is there any hope for a hookup Ryan and Marissa on The O.C.?

They attend an upcoming soiree arm-in-arm. Hopeful, no?

O.C. 411 @ E! Online

A couple of O.C. types also showed up at the Skin shindig. And I must say, I have a new Hollywood favorite: Melinda Clark, whom you know (and love to hate) as Julie Cooper.

She had just gotten back from the set, looking deliciously silly in jeans and a Curious George T-shirt, topped with what she called "my Julie hair and lashes." Still, she looked so young I couldn't help but wonder for the umpteenth time if she's even old enough to be playing the mother of a 16-year-old.

Turns out she's 34. "But I love that," said Cooper, who recently graced the cover of FHM magazine. "I am a mom, just to a three-year-old. But I guess it makes sense. My character is 35 going on 16."

That said, what about Julie and Jimmy? "My take is that she loves Jimmy. Underneath it all, he is the love of her life, but she doesn't believe that he'll ever love her like he loved Kirsten. So, she focuses on money, and she's so worried what people will think of him she's like, 'Loser, I'm moving on.' She's J.R. in drag."

As for what's coming up, "Julie is working her way into the Cohen family," Clarke revealed (pssst, I hear it has to do with grandpa). "I said to [producer] Josh Schwartz today, 'I'm going to own Newport soon!' But really, this character is the most multidimensional I've ever played. It's not just about money. It's about survival instincts, and she'd ruin her family before she's poor. She's Scarlett O'Hara: 'I will never go hungry again.' "

Speaking of big cheese Josh Schwartz, he solved the "cliffhanger" (as if you were worried): "Obviously, Marissa lives," he said. "And Marissa and Ryan's relationship is going to start moving along. Also, Seth is soon going to find himself with more women than he can handle."

Hmmm...how's about throwing one more into the mix? I know just the right TV diva

From Ted Casablanca

Tate Donovan, from Fox's sultry hit The O.C., jogging his way around the Hollywood Reservoir, the fave sweat spot of many a T-town terrible. T.D. was humpy-galore in blue short-shorts and...nothing else. Huffing and puffing, the former beau of Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock kept his eyes peeled straight ahead as he panted something fierce, then just as he was about to pass another nature lover, Tate-love shot a superquick side glance. Guess he couldn't stand not looking to see who was looking. Love it!

From Kristin: Party Up O.C. Style, Meet 24's First Lover--and Play a Round of Spoiler Trick-or-Treat

She's aliiive! Aliiive!

Not that any of you were fooled.

This Wednesday night, Marissa is back from the dead, and so is The O.C., making me such a giddy lunatic I'm writing silly drinking games (read on) and most likely will be shipped to the loony bin by week's end--which, FYI, is also where we're going to find our undead girl.

Also resurrected from the TV grave is--drumroll, please--Bradley Cooper. Our good friend "Will" has come out of witness protection on ABC's Alias to give us the lowdown on where he pops up tonight.

And you know it wouldn't be Halloween without our annual romp of Spoiler Trick-or-Treat. So, here's how we're gonna break it down this week: Shots, Scoops, Spoilers. You dig, tube boobs?

O.C. Game Plan: Just in time for your O.C. premiere on Wednesday night, E! Online brings you a cheat sheet to the series in The O.C., A-Z. And here, a joyous activity that's fun for the whole family! (Assuming your "family" consists of beer can-crushing dorm buddies or persons of similar maturity.)

Here's how it works: Every time you see one of the following things happen in an episode, call it out (i.e. "Ryan punches someone!"). Then you are safe; everyone else has to drink--Kool-Aid, O'Doul's or even some good old-fashioned H-2-the-izz-o (water). Whatever floats your swimming-pool floaties. (Mmmm...visions of Seth and Ryan.)

What to watch for:
• Luke attacks Ryan.
• Ryan attacks Luke.
• Ryan and Marissa "accidentally" bump into each other.
• Seth name-drops a cool obscure band.
• A poodle lands on Sandy's head. (Oh, wait, is that Peter Gallagher's hair?)
• Marissa looks confused.
• Summer calls Marissa "Coop."
• Someone makes fun of a suburb.
• Seth plays videogames.
• Ryan punches someone.
• You wish someone would punch Julie.
• Summer wears a bra.
• Summer wears a bikini.
• Drink Double: Summer appears fully clothed.

That's all the OC News from E! so far!! wow, that was a lot!

News Reel Update

Just testing out the new News Reel. I'm trying to make it so other people helping me out can post news as well to the site. So bear with us as bugs are figured out, and be sure and check back here for all the latest OC news!

Latest News

Just going through my old emails to post all the news I've missed over the Hiatus, hopefully my New News Buddy, Jen, will start filling us all in herself soon, she's definately the OC News Queen!

New Cast Members

17 year old Brooke Adams is the latest cast member to join The OC as Ashely who is good friends with Marissa (Mischa Barton). Brooke recently did a show at Legoland California called 'Toopalooza.' The host, Ashlee Simpson, was talking with her before she performed and hosted a bit with her. She was also saying something like, "I'm a bad friend, I go out with her ex." So she is probably a love interest for Luke. She is also going to be the youngest girl to be on the cover of Maxim magazine, and she is a model for Limited Brands (The Limited, Express, Victoria's Secret)

source Jenni

Also, Suzanne Rogers (Maggie from Days of Our Lives) has rumored to have been spotted on the back lot of "The O.C." where she has been rumored to be joining the cast for a contract role of Caleb Nicholas's ex-wife or another character. This is only a rumour this one found at a DOOL fansite, but definately a believable one.

The OC in Magazines

In the November issue of Lucky: Micha is the covergirl and two pages of her shopping for beauty products

In the November issue of Cosmogirl: a little snippet of The OC and the prediction of if it will last by a Magic 8 ball

Adam Brody was mentioned in a recent Interview with fellow Gilmore Girl's actor Milo Ventimiglia who said "I can't watch a show that openly rips on where I come from and over-dramatizes it," he says. "I can't get into it. At the same time, there's my personal conflict as well, being friends with Adam [series star Adam Brody], and having met Josh [series creator Josh Schwartz], who is very nice. I've met this kid, [series star] Ben McKenzie, and I want the show to do well -- I just don't know how much I can watch it."
